Booking, packages and fees
Are you a hospital?
No. Wellgo is a cross-border health check-up service platform for the Greater Bay Area, not a medical institution. We help Hong Kong residents compare check-up plans from our partner medical institutions and assist with enquiries and bookings. All examinations and medical services are provided by the partner institutions.
What does a package price include? Are there hidden fees?
Each partner institution's package contents and fees are listed separately. The tests, the report and any add-on fees are explained before you book. If you want to add tests, you get a separate quote first. No surprise charges.
Can I choose my own tests instead of a package?
It depends on the partner institution. Some allow you to pick individual tests, others only offer set packages. Ask an advisor before you book.
Do I need to pay a deposit? Can I reschedule or cancel?
Rescheduling, cancellation and deposit rules follow the terms of the institution you book with. We explain them clearly before you book, so there are no misunderstandings.
Border crossing, transport and documents
Can I use my Hong Kong ID card for a check-up in the Greater Bay Area? Do I need other documents?
Usually your Hong Kong ID card and Home Return Permit are enough to book and attend. Bring both when you travel, and you can confirm the exact requirements with the institution in advance.
How do I get there? Do you provide transport?
We can suggest routes to each institution, including the border crossing, travel time and parking. Transport isn't usually included for now; ask us if you need it.
Preparing for your check-up
How should I prepare? Do I need to fast?
It depends on your package. Blood tests and abdominal ultrasounds usually require fasting for several hours. Once your booking is confirmed, we send you the preparation notes.
Can I bring my children? Do you offer children's check-ups or vaccines?
Some partner institutions offer children's health services that you can enquire about and book. If only adults are having a check-up, check the hospital's rules about bringing children along.
Will language be a problem? Do the hospitals have Cantonese speakers?
We help you choose institutions that suit Hong Kong clients, and some have staff who can assist Hong Kong patients. We can't guarantee that every doctor or staff member speaks Cantonese, but an advisor can help with communication in advance.
Reports and follow-up
When will my report be ready? Can it be sent to Hong Kong?
Report timing and how you receive it (in person, electronically or by post) depend on the institution. You can check before you book.
If my report shows something abnormal, will you give medical advice?
Medical opinions are given by the partner institution's doctors. We can help you understand the follow-up consultation and referral arrangements, but we don't give medical diagnoses or advice.
Who do I contact if I have questions after my check-up?
Your dedicated health advisor follows your case. Contact them about anything to do with your booking, visit or report.
If my report shows something abnormal, can you refer me to a Hong Kong hospital?
Through our confirmed partner network, we can help you enquire about consultations, appointments and referrals with Hong Kong medical institutions. Whether an institution accepts you, uses the report or offers treatment depends on the institution, the doctor and the clinical situation. We'll do our best to help you understand the options.
Will Hong Kong hospitals accept a report from the Greater Bay Area?
There's no single answer: it depends on the individual doctor, hospital and clinical situation. After your check-up, you can ask the institution for your report and imaging discs to show Hong Kong healthcare professionals. We can help you understand how to prepare and submit them.
Other questions
Do you offer other health services besides check-ups?
We plan to add services such as vaccine enquiries and bookings and specialist referral enquiries. New services will be announced on this website.
What if I'm unhappy with a hospital's service?
If something goes wrong with your booking or visit, contact your advisor. We'll follow it up with the partner institution.
